A screen and recoat -- also called a "screen and recoat" -- is the process of lightly abrading the existing finish on your hardwood floors and applying a fresh coat of polyurethane on top. It's the perfect maintenance service when your floors are starting to look dull or lightly worn but don't yet need full sanding.
Unlike a full refinishing, screen and recoat doesn't remove any wood from your floors. It simply refreshes the protective finish layer, bringing back the shine and adding years of life to your hardwood. It's faster, less invasive, and significantly more affordable than a full refinish.
